A 20-year-old Venezuelan woman was shot dead while sitting on a motorcycle with a toddler. The brazen attack occurred in Trujillo, Peru. The disturbing incident was caught on surveillance footage and has been circulating online.
The victim, identified as Yessica A.S.P., was shot several times in the back shortly after she mounted a motorcycle with a child on the night of May 4, according to Documenting Reality. It is unclear if she was preparing to depart the area with the child.
Security footage shows her walking toward a motorcycle parked along a roadside. She is holding a young child, who was later identified as her two-year-old nephew, according to the report.
She gently places the toddler on the motorcycle and climbs on behind him. Just seconds later, an armed individual approaches her from behind while firing in her direction at close range. The footage does not clearly capture the armed suspect.

Yessica goes limp on the motorcycle as the shooter flees the scene. The motorcycle topples with her and the child still on it. The final moments of the 37-second video show the toddler moving. Documenting Reality reported that the child was rescued shortly after by an individual passing by. The toddler did not sustain any injuries during the deadly encounter, per the report.
Additionally, there have been no reports of the police making an arrest in connection with the gun attack. According to Documenting Reality, authorities believe the murder may have been related to a personal vendetta or settling of scores. Â Investigators have not confirmed the motive but say the execution-style nature of the attack suggests it was targeted.
