A disturbing video that has now gone viral on social media depicts a group of Nigerian kidnappers torturing a Ghanaian woman while demanding GHS 500,000 from her family.
It has been verified that the woman in the tragic video is a 39-year-old hairdresser from Asiakwa, a small town in Ghana’s eastern region.
As the kidnappers beat her with a machete, Ama Serwaa Konadu is shown in the video with her hands bound with a piece of cloth in her mouth.
Despite her obvious bleeding, the kidnappers persisted in their attack.
According to reports, the incident occurred three days ago, on April 27, 2025.
She allegedly went missing for a week after leaving home to purchase supplies for her business, according to commentary around the tragic event.
One of the kidnappers in the video allegedly threatened to auction her body parts to raise further funds if the ransom was not paid, according to the family.
According to reports, the incident took place in Nigeria’s Delta State.
