Law enforcement officials are looking into the shooting at Donald Trump’s Butler, Pennsylvania rally as a possible assassination attempt on the former president and likely Republican candidate.
An attendee was slain, and the shooter is dead. There are two attendees with serious injuries. Trump was escorted off the platform and is being examined at a nearby medical institution; his campaign claims he is “fine.”

According to reports from CNN, the Associated Press, and other media, the incident is being looked at as possible assassination attempt.
At 6:15 p.m., multiple rounds were fired toward the stage by the accused shooter, who authorities have determined is dead, according to a statement released by Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi. According to him, the gunman was outside the rally at an elevated position.
Sounds broke and Trump groped for his ear. As Trump was forced to the ground by authorities, rallygoers started yelling.
With his fist raised, the former president was escorted out of the area by Secret Service. The former president stated in a statement that “it is incredible that such an act can take place in our Country,” and Trump’s spokesperson, Steven Cheung, verified in a statement that the president is “fine” but saw doctors at a local medical facility.
