A stabbing incident close to Toronto’s waterfront has left two men with serious injuries.
At 7:40 p.m., according to Toronto police, they were alerted to a stabbing near Remembrance Drive and Lake Shore Boulevard West.
Both of the males who were found to have stab wounds were “critical,” according to Sgt. Sean Cassidy, who spoke with CP24. After that, the two were taken to the hospital.
The guys had also been taken into custody, according to Cassidy.
“We believe that the two people we have in custody were involved in the altercation,” he stated.
Police say no additional suspects are wanted. It took some time to ascertain the incident’s circumstances.
According to Cassidy, officers were already in the vicinity of the Caribbean Carnival Grand Parade, so they were able to react rapidly.
He stated, “We had big crowds.” “We did have a large contingent of officers down here policing this detail, so we got officers on the scene quickly.”
Cassidy continued, saying several witnesses had already come forward and given police evidence to help them figure out what happened.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident and hasn’t talked to them to call 416-808-1400.
