A popular rapper was shot and killed in the Olney neighborhood of Philadelphia; the incident is being looked into by Philadelphia police.
Around 3:34 p.m. on Friday, Chopper 6 was over the scene in the 5500 block of N. 6th Street. There, a white Hyundai SUV was detained in connection with the inquiry.
The male victim, 25, was reportedly shot many times in the hand and chest, according to the police, but they are still investigating the shooting site.
According to sources, the victim is well-known rapper Abdul Vicks, also referred to as “YBC Dul.” He was a member of the Young Bag Chasers (YBC) gang.
There haven’t been any arrests made yet.
The circumstances of the shooting remain undisclosed.
Another shooting on the 600 block of North 12th Street that left a man dead and a young kid injured is being looked into by Philadelphia police.
The gunfire started on Friday at 6:19 p.m.
In that case, the officers are still looking for two gunmen.
