In this horrifying scene, a guy was stabbed in the street during the wee hours of the morning, and police are detaining a 34-year-old on suspicion of trying to kill him.
A man is shown preparing to cut another with a flick knife in a horrifying video that was uploaded to Snapchat with laughing emojis around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday. The man just misses by a little margin.
Then, in an attempt to prevent the man from backing away, he grabbed him by the shirt while he was wheeling a stroller loaded with stuff but without a child.
Then, with shouts coming from the street behind them, the assailant stabbed him in the neck.
The man with the injury stepped back, then noticed that blood was streaming from the wound and put his palm to his neck.
The unsettling video showed him approaching his assailant as jeers and laughter could be heard, but a woman seemed to persuade him to turn around.
The group of men kept laughing and yelling as the injured man, his dog, and the woman strolled down the street.
After that, the video shows the injured man lying on the sidewalk with his dog and the worried-looking woman bending over him being videotaped through the window of the car.
As the emergency services arrived, the individual filming yelled, “Ambulance right here boy,” adding, “you’re f*****g lucky, lucky.” He can’t be saved. See him “bleed out.”
As of today evening, police have confirmed that the injured individual was admitted to the hospital and is still in a stable condition.
Before being charged with other charges, a 29-year-old male was also taken into custody.
West Midlands Police are looking through the incident’s cell phone footage.
“We were called to Dudley Road at its junction with Bellefield Road,” a spokeswoman stated.
The victim sustained a slash wound and was sent to the hospital. He’s still there this evening in a stable state.
Following the attack, a lady, 22, and three men, ages 29, 26, and 34, were all taken into custody.
The lady, 22, and the male, 26, have been released and will not be charged with anything more, but the 34-year-old man is still being held on suspicion of attempting murder.
The 29-year-old man who was taken into custody is accused of unrelated charges.
“The victim’s condition at the hospital is still stable.” We’ve heard on social media that he was pushing a baby at the time, but that’s untrue. He was pulling a cart filled with possessions.
We are aware of footage of the event that is making the rounds on social media, and we are looking into it as part of our investigation.
“At this point in the investigation, detectives are not searching for any additional suspects; this is a singular incident.”
