Music mogul Sean Combs, popularly known as Diddy, has reportedly made bold accusations against the prosecution in an attempt to defend himself.
According to reports, Diddy’s legal team claimed that the key evidence in his assault and sex trafficking case was tampered with. Additionally, the prosecutors have been accused of using aggressive and deceptive strategies to destroy Diddy’s reputation in the media.
According to a report, Diddy referred to the prosecution’s strategy as “aggressive and deceptive media tactics,” in which the media coverage surrounding the case has been unfairly biased to influence public opinion.
The defence presented these arguments in court after Diddy was denied bail for the third time as he awaited trial. Diddy’s team repeatedly tried to have him released on bail, but not even their $50 million bail offer was accepted by the court. The team spoke out in court, declaring that the producer would fight the charges.
Additionally, Diddy’s legal team claimed that the footage showing him accusing his ex-girlfriend, singer Cassie Ventura, was manipulated by the prosecution, who wanted to create a false narrative.
After the footage was shown at a bail hearing, the defence argued that the video was edited to make the events appear more criminal rather than a domestic dispute. According to the defence, photos of trial notes were improperly obtained during a raid on Diddy’s jail cell.
