Following injuries they received in a two-vehicle collision on the Bustamante Highway in Clarendon on Monday morning, 5 students lost their lives.
According to preliminary accounts, a Subaru Impreza and a Toyota Probox that was being driven as a taxi were involved in the collision.
About 200 meters east of the highway’s interchange with Foga Road is where the collision occurred.
Although the exact cause of the collision is unknown at this time, it is thought that the Transport Authority was pursuing the taxi.
