According to a report, firefighters have managed to completely put out the first three fires listed above. Meanwhile, the progress for Hurst Fire is reported to be at 89%, Easton at 27%, and Palisades at 11%.
The Palisades Fire has set the record for the worst fire in history to impact Los Angeles. According to the New York Post, citing information from the Times, the investigation has led authorities to discover that the fire may have been started by a human. It was noted that it may have been an accident based on their findings. The fire reported started at a location that is popular for hikers and local teenagers.
Around 30,000 acres have been engulfed by flames since the fire started, leading to the destruction of 5,000 structures. The fire has been raging for around a week, turning Los Angeles into an inferno.
An additional report states that the flames could significantly worsen as the winds could increase to up to 70 mph in the coming days, according to the National Weather Service. While there are currently 24 casualties, the officials mentioned that there may be a lot more deaths. There are more than 92,000 residents of Los Angeles County currently under evacuation orders, and around 89,000 are facing evacuation warnings, as per the report.
