News has been circulating the internet that Busta Rhymes is now facing assault charges after he allegedly attacked his assistant. The prominent American rapper was in New York City at the time of the incident.
According to a TMZ report, on January 10, Busta and his assistant were in downtown Brooklyn when they had a dispute in the lobby of his assistant’s condo building. The argument reportedly stemmed from his assistant, Dashiel Gables, using his phone during work hours. The argument reportedly escalated into a physical altercation quickly.
Busta Rhymes allegedly punched Gables in the face several times. TMZ, citing information from sources, reported that the rapper quickly left after attacking his assistant. Gables alerted the police, and paramedics came to the scene along with the officers.
Gabbles, who sustained an eye injury, was treated at the local hospital. Busta Rhymes, born Trevor George Smith Jr., turned himself into the New York Police Department on Tuesday. As per the report, he was hit with multiple charges, including misdemeanour assault in the 3rd degree, attempted assault, and harassment. He was given a desk appearance ticket (DAT), which means he has to appear in court to answer the charges.
