Skeng and Tommy Lee Sparta’s new single Disappear Season, featuring Nicki Minaj, has taken the No. 4 spot on YouTube’s trending chart. The song has been gaining momentum since its release four days ago. Disappear Season marks Skeng and Tommy’s third collaboration together, the first two being their hit song Protocol and the follow-up single Protocol II.
Disappear Season was produced by Droptop Records and RG. The song was released with visuals on March 9 and has garnered more than 314,000 views. Skeng and Tommy Lee are both known for their gangster songs, and Disappear Season features them deejaying grimy lyrics about endorsing illicit activities. Themes like voodoo, gang activities, drug abuse, and gun violence are covered in the song.
The song opens with an intro from hip-hop superstar Nicki Minaj, who also does the outro. Following the intro, Skeng deejays in the first verse, brags about shooting rivals and being so evil that witchcraft cannot harm him. Skeng also takes over the chorus, threatening his foes while bragging about how “dunce” and “senseless” he and his goons are.
In the second verse, Tommy Lee speaks about putting a hit out on his enemy and slaying the ones he confronts. He expresses that he loves revenge, adding that he records the final moments of targets’ lives to look back at and share with his associates.
The entire music video is filmed at night with scenes of Skeng and Tommy Lee outdoors with their associates. The men can be seen vibing, drinking, and smoking in different shots. Two women are seemingly dressed like nuns. The video also depicts the paranormal presence of an evil being as Skeng threatens to “call dung evil.”
Disappear Season comes on the heels of Skeng’s song King Kong, which is also trending. King Kong was released on March 2 and is currently at No. 7 on YouTube’s trending music chart with over 527,000 views.
