Guyana: In a startling development, an 11-year-old girl’s body was discovered in the Double Day Hotel’s pool in Tuschen, East Bank Essequibo, Guyana. The police have recently disclosed that Adrianna Younge, the victim, was not abducted from the hotel after spending a pleasant day with her family on Wednesday.
In an attempt to get additional information from the police, family members and others blocked the road outside the hotel and set fire to it this morning. This led to the recent report of kidnapping.
According to reports, Younge’s body was once discovered in the pool, and family members and relatives set the Double Day Hotel on fire during this time. Although it is yet unclear if the victim drowned or if foul play was involved, reports indicate that she had a severely damaged knee and other evident injuries.
To ascertain the precise cause of the young girl’s death, the authorities are now anticipated to do an autopsy on her.
Locals are questioning the police’s release from last night, which stated that CCTV evidence showed the 11-year-old getting into a car they were searching for, thus promoting the kidnapping narrative. This latest finding has startled the nation.
Adrianna was accused of going swimming with her grandma, Carol Xavier, at the Double Day Hotel on Wednesday at approximately 1:02 p.m. She claimed that at approximately 1:10 p.m., she handed Adrianna some cash so she could buy a band and go swimming in the pool. The girl eventually went into the pool with her siblings, but Adrianna was nowhere to be found when the grandmother asked the family to come home.
The family started a search right away and searched everywhere, but couldn’t find her. After that, the issue was brought to the attention of the Tuschen Police Station in Guyana. The authorities conducted an additional inquiry once they arrived on the scene and searched the hotel’s rooms, storeroom, roof, and even the yard for the girl, but they were still unsuccessful.
The girl was seen getting into a car outside the hotel, according to CCTV footage that the police claimed to have seen.
The event is still being investigated, and the police have promised to provide all relevant information as soon as the autopsy report is released.
