While many were assuming that Vybz Kartel’s new song was throwing subliminal shots at one of his ex-girlfriends, particularly Tanesha ‘Shorty’ Johnson, Dancehall artiste Lisa Hyper seemingly believes that she is the muse behind a line in the song.
The new track, titled They’re Outta Love, We Aren’t, mentioned that his ex could never walk in the shoes of the love of his life, Sidem Otzurk. Vybz Kartel did not identify the ex by name, leaving many social media users to speculate.
In response to the song, Lisa Hyper shared an Instagram post that indicated she and Vybz Kartel were once sexually involved. She has alleged that they had an intimate relationship on numerous occasions, claiming that it started when she was in her teenage years. Vybz Kartel has never addressed these allegations.

She also claimed she broke up with him to be with dancehall artiste Dext Daps, which she once again hinted at in her post. She also said he was pretending to be happy, but in reality, he was stressed. The recent post was accompanied by photos of Lisa Hyper modelling an outfit.

Lisa Hyper’s post stirred a lively response from Instagram users. Some fans left positive responses, including one who called her a “bad gya.” Lisa Hyper also garnered comments that reflected viewers’ admiration of her confidence and beauty in the photos she posted.

Others, however, delivered harsh criticism and humour, suggesting she’s delusional about being Kartel’s ex. One user wrote, “If you don’t stop… you going on like you alone is his ex.” Another Instagram user joked, “Go take your medication,’ seemingly indicating that her post may be influenced by her mental health issues.
Vybz Kartel has not responded to the post she made. He has remained extremely quiet as it pertains to conversations about Lisa Hypr. Even her recent tirade earlier this year, which involved her lashing out at him, was never addressed by the iconic deejay.
