Video footage has surfaced showing a terrifying scene inside a restaurant where a man was shot and killed in the middle of a struggle. The man, whose name hasn’t been released, was sitting at a table with a woman when the attack took place.
The restaurant was not crowded at the time when the gunman entered the establishment and walked directly over to the table where the victim and the woman were seated. The suspect appeared to confront the victim at gunpoint, and the victim stood as the dispute got heated.
However, the victim flinches, seemingly in response to the gun being fired. He then falls back into his seat while the woman quickly runs away. It is believed this was the first shot that struck the victim, but the total number of gunshots discharged during the attack is unknown.
After that, the victim and the gunman got into a fierce struggle, wrestling with each other as the gun fired off several more times. At one point, the gunman even appeared to bite the victim, seemingly trying to get the upper hand in the fight.
The injured victim was not able to disarm his attacker and ultimately fell to the ground. While he lay on the ground bleeding from his injuries, the gunman fled the scene. Other customers and staff also scrambled to exit the restaurant during the commotion.
A later clip shows authorities at the scene, with the victim’s body placed in the back of a van as bystanders watched. The video, posted by ion on May 24, has gathered nearly 100,000 views and sparked heated discussions online.
Many viewers speculated whether the incident was a setup or an attempted robbery, with some questioning why others in the restaurant didn’t intervene. Some commended the victim for fighting the armed assailant.
