Authorities are currently investigating a disturbing incident involving a group of high school students and a female passenger on a public transportation bus.
A viral video circulating on social media shows a teenage boy assaulting an older woman by striking her in the back of the head with a rock.
The 15-second clip captures officers at the scene attempting to defuse tensions when the teen suddenly sneaks up behind the woman and attacks her. He immediately flees the scene and is seen being chased by law enforcement.
According to witnesses who spoke to Moon 10, the altercation began when the woman allegedly pulled a knife on the students, reportedly injuring several of them. In panic, many passengers rushed to exit the bus to avoid harm.
The bus driver and conductor tried to intervene, working together to disarm the woman. Another video, approximately one minute in length, appears to show the woman aggressively swinging the knife at multiple passengers.
It remains unclear what provoked the woman to act so violently, and police are continuing to gather information.
