A man and a woman were arrested after a reported blatant display of oral sex during a Saturday flight. The couple, who are originally from Connecticut, were aboard a JetBlue plane departing New York when the scandalous incident unfolded in front of children. According to court documents cited by TMZ, a woman named Trista Reilly was flying with her boyfriend, Christopher Drew Arnold, to Florida when she decided to be intimate at their seat.
According to the report, a fellow passenger, a mother travelling with her two young children, noticed what was happening between the pair. Even worse, she realised that children were watching Trista’s up-and-down head movements while she was facedown in her partner’s lap.
Trista was also accused of masturbating Christopher on the plane. The appalled mother told police that Trista continued even after realising that minors were watching. While she noted that the sexual conduct reportedly began during takeoff, reports say it lasted for an unclear amount of time. This meant that the children were forced to endure a strange and uncomfortable flight for the remainder of the journey.
Upon landing at Sarasota Bradenton International Airport around 11:30 a.m., authorities were waiting. Police arrested both Reilly and Arnold, charging them with lewd or lascivious exhibition.
The couple was later released on Monday with conditions that include no contact with the alleged victims and a requirement to have no further run-ins with the law ahead of their arraignment scheduled for August.
In response to the incident, JetBlue condemned the behaviour in a statement, saying, “This behaviour is completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated by JetBlue.” It continues by noting that the airline acted immediately by alerting security and police upon being informed about the matter. The airline expressed that it is cooperating with the police as the matter is being investigated, and made it clear that the couple is prohibited from flying with them ever again.
