Speculations have intensified regarding the dismembered body of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas that was discovered in singer D4vd’s impounded vehicle after photos and a song further linked the pair. Images released by TMZ appear to place the 20-year-old artist in Lake Elsinore, California, the very community where Celeste lived with her family before she vanished in April 2024.
The media outlet cross-referenced the image with Google Maps, which indicated that D4vd was, at the time, six minutes away from Celeste’s home by foot (less than a third of a mile from the residence). Another image has gone viral, showing him alongside a girl who bears a striking resemblance to Celeste, although authorities have not confirmed her identity.
These discoveries have fuelled speculation, especially since Celeste’s body was found in a Tesla registered to D4vd earlier this month. Her badly decomposed remains were discovered in the vehicle’s front trunk at a Hollywood tow yard after a foul odour was reported.
What makes the story even more unsettling is the set of matching tattoos. Police confirmed Celeste had a “Shhh…” tattoo on her right index finger. D4vd has the same tattoo, also on his right index finger, a detail her mother highlighted when she spoke with TMZ.
Adding to the speculation, leaked lyrics from one of D4vd’s unreleased songs mention a girl named Celeste in vivid, intimate detail. In the lyrics, the singer professes his love to Celeste.
Celeste’s mother told reporters that she had disappeared at the age of 13 over a year ago. She also said her daughter told her she was romantically involved with a guy named David before she vanished without a trace.
D4vd, legally named David Anthony Burke, has not been charged with a crime and is said to be cooperating with authorities. Still, the mounting coincidences, from his presence near her home to the shared tattoo to the song lyrics, have raised more questions than answers.
The singer cancelled his Seattle performance on September 17, the same day Celeste’s identity was publicly confirmed, and allegedly has since returned to Los Angeles.
