A video of singer D4vd’s concert in late August has gone viral after social media users speculated that Celeste Rivas was captured at the event. The clip, recorded in Maryland, shows a girl on the balcony who closely resembles the dead 15-year-old.
In the video, the girl can be seen wearing a black tube top, similar to the clothing Celeste was wearing when her body was found. The discovery was made inside the trunk of D4vd’s abandoned Tesla on September 8, just a day after her birthday. The car had been towed three days earlier from the Hollywood Hills area, where the singer was living.
While the resemblance sparked widespread debate online, TMZ later reported that a source close to the investigation dismissed the theory, clarifying that the girl at the concert was not Celeste.
Police have not determined when Celeste died, and her cause of death remains under investigation. Authorities said Celeste’s dismembered body was found in a “severely decomposed” state, suggesting she may have been in the vehicle for some time before it was discovered.
Investigators have also executed a search warrant at the Hollywood Hills home where D4vd was staying. Using forensic tools, including luminol, officers examined the residence for traces of blood. While the findings have not been disclosed, law enforcement sources confirmed that the search lasted several hours and involved multiple investigative divisions.
At the same time, Celeste’s history has come under scrutiny. She had reportedly run away from home on more than one occasion, with relatives contacting police in earlier instances to help locate her. Teachers and neighbours recalled previous disappearances, including one occasion when she was found in the Hollywood Hills. Detectives believe these episodes may provide important context as they reconstruct her movements leading up to her death.
The tragedy has left the Lake Elsinore community in mourning. Friends, relatives, and neighbours gathered for a candlelight vigil to honour Celeste, leaving messages, balloons, and lights in her memory.
Although several alleged connections between Celeste and the singer have surfaced, including tattoos, lyrics, and sightings together, police have not named D4vd or anyone else as a suspect.
