Armanii fired back at Valiant, calling him a “wasteman” in a sharp, unapologetic video. Instead of brushing off Valiant’s recent comments, where he dismissed Armanii as “trash” and joked about his supposed excitement around Alkaline, Armanii chose to confront him in an Instagram post.
In his video shared to IG Stories, Armanii did not mince words, calling Valiant a slew of names, including a “coward” for coming at him. Armanii claims that Valiant had been disrespected by multiple men, but chose him as the person to go after.
Armanii and Valiant were friends until they had a falling out behind the scenes. During that time, Armanii came out publicly with a disrespectful remark that went viral. Armanii has now stated that Valiant’s sudden disrespectful comments in response to his previous viral remark had more to do with attention than anything else. “You nah nuh career left,” he said, insisting Valiant was using clickbait instead of putting effort into his music. He urged him to “do you music man and stop use the media fi stay afloat.”
Armanii also pushed back against what he saw as Valiant’s attempts to play innocent. He accused him of pretending as if he had not done anything to “violate” their friendship. In Armanii’s view, Valiant’s real frustration is that he’s now getting the spotlight. He pointed out that his success did not end when he stepped away from Valiant’s circle, reminding him that dancehall has space for more than one artiste. As he put it, no single man can “run dancehall”, and Valiant cannot block his progress.
That was not the end of Armanii’s claims. He said Valiant had become intimidated by his talent and even alleged that Valiant attempted to “obeah” him. Armanii insisted he left their company because he does not practice such things, stressing that his beliefs are rooted in God. He went further, saying he was ready to expose Valiant’s shady dealings if pushed.
He also suggested that Valiant’s behaviour might be tied to old wounds, pointing to an incident with Popcaan, who he claimed “box box him up” and chased him offstage. According to Armanii, the lack of a song between the two added to Valiant’s lingering frustration, which he now seemed to be redirecting toward him.
