Four men were gunned down in three separate shootings in Manchester during a violent overnight stretch that unfolded across multiple communities, forcing police to manage several active murder scenes at once.
The fatal shootings occurred between Saturday evening and the early hours of Sunday in New Hall, Old England, and Ellen Street. The victims have been identified as Dejaune Hamilton, 22-year-old Raheem “Richie Rich” Ward, Adrian Reid, and David Brown.
Head of the Manchester Police Division, Superintendent Carey Duncan, confirmed that the parish was rocked by three deadly incidents within a relatively short window of time. Speaking in an interview with the Jamaica Observer, Duncan explained, “Between 7:30 p.m. on January 31st, 2026, and 3:00 a.m. on February 1st, 2026, we were impacted by three incidents that resulted in four deaths within the parish,” he said.
The first shooting was reported around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday in the New Hall district. Police said Hamilton was fatally shot during that incident. Officers responded and began processing the scene as night fell.
Later that night, a second shooting occurred in Old England. There, Ward and Reid were both shot and killed at the same premises. The double murder significantly escalated police operations. By midmorning on Sunday, law enforcement personnel were still at the Old England location carrying out forensic examinations.
The final killing occurred in Ellen Street at approximately the wee hours of Sunday morning, when Brown was shot and later died. Police resources were stretched across three separate locations by some time after 3:00 a.m.
Police are now working to determine whether the shootings are connected. While investigators have not yet confirmed a direct link, Superintendent Duncan said they are pursuing what he described as “very, very strong leads” in relation to the cases. “We have our theories,” Duncan stated, while cautioning that investigations were still ongoing.
As part of those efforts, police have publicly called on two individuals to assist with the probes. Superintendent Duncan urged Orin Nelson, also known as Prince, of a Mayday address, and C.J. Wilson of an Old England address, to report to the nearest police station, specifically the Mandeville Police Station.
