Dancehall entertainer Brysco is now at the centre of legal trouble overseas after being picked up by authorities in Florida.
The artiste, whose given name is Tray Anthony Brisco, was reportedly taken into custody in Broward County on Thursday following an alleged domestic dispute. Information coming out of the arrest indicates that he is facing a battery-related charge involving physical contact.
However, with the matter still in its early stages, key details remain unclear, including the circumstances that led to the incident. It is understood that he has not yet been formally brought before a judge.
Brysco rose to fame in 2022 with his popular song code. Since then, he has had a few controversial moments in dancehall. He has been outside of Jamaica since 2025, and now, instead of music headlines, his name is being called in a different context.
The news of his legal troubles has quickly stirred chatter online, especially since Brysco’s arrest follows the detainment of several other Jamaican dancehall artistes in the United States in recent times.
In recent months, Rygin King also made headlines after being in the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. His situation remains unresolved publicly, with no clear explanation given for his detention. At the same time, he continues to fight a firearm case in New York, maintaining his innocence as the matter moves through the court system.
Then there’s Squash, who ended up serving time after pleading guilty to gun-related charges, and Chronic Law, who was also held earlier this year before being released and returning home.
With Brysco now added to that list, questions are being raised about the growing pattern of legal run-ins involving dancehall figures abroad.
For now, all eyes are on what happens next. With limited information available and no official word from his camp, the situation remains fluid as fans wait to see how the case unfolds.
