Popular podcaster Jaii Frais and two other men were shot during an altercation at a soca event on Sunday night in St Andrew. It is understood that the Let’s Be Honest host is in police custody at the hospital, receiving medical care for the injury he sustained after he was allegedly attacked at the Big Wall Revolution event.
Allegations say Jaii Frais, given name Jhaedee Richards, was confronted by members of dancehall 450’s entourage at Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre. Preliminary reports say Jaii arrived at the event at 9:30 p.m. and went to the restroom. Jaii told the police that when he was leaving the restroom, renowned producer and manager Jahvel “Jahvy Ambassador” Morrison reportedly hit him in the face at the door.

Afterwards, a group of 15 men launched an attack on him. During the intense exchange, at least two firearms were drawn. Jaii Frais said Morrison and another man had their guns pointed at him. Jaii reportedly disarmed the other man, and several explosions were heard, which forced the event to discontinue.
According to Jaii, the producer fired a shot in his direction, and Jaii returned gunfire as he was running away. He said he ran to the officers on the premises and gave them the firearm. Seconds later, he realised he was shot when he felt a pain in his lower back.

A video shows Jaii being escorted away by police officers. He was taken to a corporate area hospital, where he remains. Other Videos of the incident show one man on the ground and what appears to be another man being carried away by a group. Reports say the two injured men were a bystander and a man from 450’s entourage. The man underwent surgery and remains in critical condition.
Reports say two guns were recovered at the scene. One of the firearms, a Glock 9mm Pistol, belonged to Morrison. Morrison has since been taken into custody. The second firearm was turned over to the police by Jaii Frais. Police have not yet laid any charges, and investigations are ongoing.
More allegations circulating on the internet say that the altercation stemmed from a podcast Jaii did, during which he commented on 450’s career. Jaii indicated that he believes the entertainer was once highly relevant and trending, but, compared to his peak, he has “fallen off.” This led to a beef between the pair and the entertainer’s fans. 450 responded by taking a jab at Jaii during a song, saying he does not “kiss p***y like Frais.”
