Dancehall veteran Beenie Man’s daughter, Desha Davis, has made some disparaging comments about her father online. The comments criticised Beenie Man’s parenting skills and accused his fiancée, Camille Lee, of coming between him and his children. Beenie Man, who has 13 children, was called a “lame” father in a heated social media comment Desha made before she went on a livestream to explain her frustration.
In the comment, Beenie Man was accused of making Camille his top priority while his children were placed lower on the list. Desha, a former dancer of the Jamaican Ravers group, indicated that her father was guilty of doing this in the past with his previous partners. Desha, also known as Desha Ravers, called Camille “A NEXT FXCK OUT” and called her father a “GYAL CLOWN.” She expressed that her father wronged her once more, and she never wants to see him again. Her final request to her father is a plea for him to do right by his other children.
The comment was posted on Tuesday and has since been deleted. Beenie Man allegedly blocked her due to the disparaging comment after his fiancée instructed him to. Desha exposed this while sharing her disappointment in her father during the livestream. The live stream came on the heels of the post, explaining why she made the post.
During the live stream, Desha recounted multiple incidents that she felt spoke volumes about her father’s character. She indicated that he allowed his partners to lead even when it negatively affected his children.
One of the incidents involved a house that her father built, several years ago. He reportedly left a section of it for her. However, she did not occupy the house and made no effort to move in until her father recently contacted her. Desha claimed that her father informed her that her residence was occupied by squatters, prompting her to finally decide to move in and expand it.
However, she was placed in a tough spot when a big problem unfolded, causing her to seek her father’s help. According to Desha, instead of getting help, he reclaimed the house and told her she could not have it, as it would be a storage area. Desha stated that Camille was behind her father’s decision to take back the house, indicating that Camille convinced him she should not have it.
Another incident involved him appointing his children as workers at his restaurant. Desha claimed that Beenie Man initially promised the Simma Restaurant was for him and his children. However, he later made a part of his staff. She expressed one of her brothers was skilled enough to be Beenie Man’s road manager, a position he gave to Camille, yet Beenie Man wanted him to work at the restaurant.
According to Desha, Camilla abandoned her “special needs” child in England to be at Beenie Man’s side. She used this as an example to demonstrate that if Camille did not care about her child, she would not care about Beenie Man’s children.
Desha expressed that her Beenie Man has never been an actual father figure in her life. She indicated that while Beenie Man, born Moses Davis, ensured his children’s educational expenses were covered, he was absent in other areas of their lives.
“You have 13 youth… Paying school fees is not being a father because that is all alone you do for your kids; that’s it,” she said. Questioning how is fighting over the King of Dancehall title while he is a poor father, she urged him to change his values.
In the past, there was apparently bad blood between Desha and one of her father’s previous partners, Krystal Tomlinson. Desha claimed Krystal was more interested in feuding with her instead of getting to know her. This reportedly was one of several factors that contributed to Desha disliking Krystal.
