Dancehall fans are ecstatic after Bounty Killer’s first United States concert in more than a decade has finally been confirmed. The revelation comes three weeks after the dancehall icon released a statement clarifying rumours that mislead patrons into believing he would be performing at unauthorised events.
Though the rumours surely sadden fans, Bounty Killer has not left them completely disappointed, as he will be rocking the stage this summer with his gritty catalogue. The official concert is set for July 5th and will be hosted at Brooklyn’s Barclays Centre.
This monumental occasion was recently confirmed by renowned promoter Cj Milan, who took to social media with a post announcing the event. The famed promoter, who is the key figure behind Vybz Kartel’s historic two-night Barclays show and Reggae Fest, shared a poster for the concert and wrote in the caption, “This will be Bounty Killer’s first U.S. show in 15 years.”
On May 6, presale tickets will go live, and then on May 8, general ticket sales will begin. Fans have expressed their joy for not only Bounty Killer’s return but also the grand return of dancehall to the international scene.
