An altercation in a South Carolina Dollar Tree parking lot escalated into a scene of chaos when an individual rammed a car into the store’s entrance. Lee County officials reported that two adults and three juveniles were involved in an outdoor brawl, and several are facing legal consequences.
The dispute reportedly started between two adults and three teenagers as they congregated outside the Bishopville store. Tensions flared, and soon a 17-year-old participant got behind the wheel of a vehicle amid the turmoil.
In the heat of the moment, that teenager charged the vehicle at a 15-year-old, striking the teen and crashing through the front of the Dollar Tree. Although the crash was alarming, authorities confirmed that the younger teen was not seriously injured.
The disastrous incident, which was captured in a viral video, shows the confrontation outside the store. The younger teen can be seen walking before the 17-year-old strikes the younger one with the vehicle. The store’s front wall sustained significant damage, and the younger teen walked away from the crash after being hit. The 17-year-old can be seen abandoning the vehicle to fight someone else while the unattended vehicle rolled away. Authorities said the vehicle then collided with a parked car.

Following the incident, Lee County Sheriff’s deputies swiftly arrested and charged several individuals involved in the fight. One of the participants was identified as 19-year-old Celvin Hickman, and he has been charged with disorderly conduct and faces a count of malicious injury to property. Another participant, 24-year-old Shamirah Blyther, was also booked on a disorderly conduct charge.
Three juveniles were also taken into custody: the 17-year-old driver, who will be charged as an adult with attempted murder, disorderly conduct, and malicious injury to property; a 15-year-old charged with disorderly conduct; and a third juvenile who was similarly charged.
All three teens have since been released into the care of their guardians. According to a report, the arrested individuals were taken to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office Detention Centre. They are currently awaiting bond hearings.
