Stefon Diggs‘ daddy duties have reportedly grown after the star wide receiver for the New England Patriots was officially confirmed to be the father of a seven-month-old baby girl. People announced that a paternity test verified this, squashing any further doubt about him fathering model Aileen Lopera’s daughter. Lopera’s attorney, Tamar G. Arminak, shared the update with the media.
“We can confirm that Mr. Diggs is the father,” Arminak said in a statement, expressing hope that the football player would “meaningfully contribute to the child’s life” and co-parent alongside her client, who has “had to do everything on her own thus far.”
Lopera, who is known online as Lord Gisselle, first filed documents in December 2024 while pregnant, requesting both legal and physical custody of the baby while granting Diggs visitation rights. Afterwards, Diggs contested the claim and requested genetic testing to determine paternity. He also stated that if proven to be the father, he sought joint custody and an equal share in pregnancy-related expenses.
According to court filings, Lopera named her daughter Charliee Harper Diggs-Lopera, incorporating Diggs’ last name even before the test results were confirmed. This latest revelation comes as Diggs’ relationship with rapper Cardi B remains under public scrutiny. Cardi, who is currently pregnant with Diggs’ child, had previously spoken about their relationship during an interview, describing herself as being in a “good space” and feeling strong about balancing work and motherhood.
Some of the criticism that Cardi and Stefon Diggs have garnered has also come from her ex-husband, Offset, who often takes jabs at her online. He mocked her for getting pregnant before their divorce was finalised. He also expressed that none of his exes have done better than him after their relationship ended.
However, Cardi and her boyfriend continue to appear unfazed by the criticism, and there may be no difference with the latest chatter surrounding Stefon Diggs’ family.
