Chaos erupted inside a Walmart when four women got into a heated altercation that involved one of them waving a gun in the air. Shoppers and employees were left shocked as a verbal dispute spiralled into a full-blown brawl, which one shopper caught on camera. The video was posted on social media on Tuesday and quickly went viral.
The footage opens with a tense argument between four women near a checkout area. Tensions escalate rapidly when one of the women approaches two women who are accompanied by two small children. The children can be seen sitting in two grocery trolleys, watching the scene turn chaotic. As the woman closes the distance, one of the women brandishes a firearm, and her associate grabs at her adversary, triggering the fight.
The armed woman who waves the firearm in the air escalated the situation by seemingly striking one of the women on the hand with her weapon. As the fight intensifies, with the woman pointing her gun at them while they argue, the officers at the scene quickly intervene.
An officer is seen rushing into the brawl just as the armed woman seemingly positions herself to shoot at two women fighting her associate. The guard first focuses on de-escalating the situation with the woman wielding the gun. He disarms her before turning his attention to the fight.
Despite the guard’s effort to separate the three women, the once-armed woman also joins the brawl, and the chaos inside the store continues. Throughout the altercation, the child present could be heard screaming and crying for her mother, who was caught up in the brawl.
The child’s distress has attracted criticism online regarding the woman’s violent behaviour in front of the child.
The fight came to an end when more officers intervened. The video concludes with the child still in distress as her mother is subdued.
