A group of fast-food employees has gone viral for all the wrong reasons after a lighthearted TikTok moment ended in unexpected job losses. The video shows 8 Chick-fil-A staffers at their workplace partaking in a trending dance challenge that involves them shaking their chests to a remix by DJ Vic. The video begins with women shaking and bouncing their breasts to the rhythm of the music and ends with the person filming, a male, shaking his butt after attempting to shake his chest.
The clip was posted on March 21 by a worker known online as lland1n, who was the sole male participant. The caption playfully boasted about their team’s energy, and within days, the video exploded, pulling in millions of views.
Just days later, lland1n returned with a shocking follow-up post. He revealed that the entire group seen in the video had been dismissed from their jobs. According to him, the decision came shortly after management became aware of the viral clip.
He explained that before recording, he checked with coworkers to make sure they were comfortable participating. The video was filmed during a night shift on a Friday while the restaurant was closed, and he maintained that no customers were present at the time.
The TikToker also admitted that he may have pushed things a bit too far while filming, referencing the part where he shook his butt. Even so, he maintained that the video was never that serious. The TikToker admitted that this was not the first time they had made videos together, but said this particular one included more staff members and went further than their previous content.
By Sunday, Management had added him to a group chat with his dancing buddies. Sensing trouble, he offered to take the video down before it caused any issues, but the offer came too late. Shortly after, he and his coworkers were informed they were being let go. The decision left the group shocked, but he said they ultimately decided to take the news in stride and move forward.
Interestingly, the video also drew attention for showing a fully Black staff working at a Chick-fil-A, which many viewers pointed out was uncommon. According to the lland1n, that aspect received a lot of positive feedback, and he argued that the moment could have been used to strengthen the company instead of resulting in termination.
Though Llandin refrained from giving the specific location of the restaurant, his previous posts suggest it may be at Tuskegee University in Alabama.
