Footage of a 34-year-old musician in Brazil being stabbed to death in a bar is circulating on the internet. The deceased, identified as Guilherme Moreira de Lima, was killed on Saturday evening, May 17. The fatal stabbing in Porto Alegre do Norte, Mato Grosso, reportedly stemmed from an argument between him and another man, who was reportedly drunk.
Guilherme, known for his role in the pagode group “Só Resenha”, was attacked around 6 p.m. His alleged attacker was identified as 38-year-old Cledinaldo Oliveira da Silva. The authorities have not yet determined the nature of the heated dispute that led to the stabbing.
Surveillance footage from a camera at the bar captured the altercation. According to reports, both men appeared to be intoxicated at the time of the incident. The over-a-minute-long video shows Guilherme walking into the establishment with an individual.
Shortly after, the suspect approaches him, and an argument ensues between them. The Cledinaldo shoves Guilherme, who returns the shove. That is when Cledinaldo withdraws an object, which appears to be a knife, from his pocket and proceeds to stab Guilherme.
The footage shows Cledinaldo stabbing Guilherme multiple times in the abdomen. The victim, despite being struck repeatedly, did not fight back aside from attempting to push away his attacker’s hand. When bystanders in the war became aware of the stabbing, they fled the establishment. The video concluded shortly after both men disappeared from the frame.
According to a report, Guilherme sustained severe injuries and was transported to the Municipal Hospital of Confresa for emergency medical attention. Guilherme succumbed to his injuries shortly after arriving at the facility.
Reports also indicate that Cledinaldo fled the scene following the attack and remains at large. The Civil Police have launched an investigation surrounding the circumstances of the fatal incident. Authorities are also actively searching for the suspect.
