Vlogger Cushane “CMR” Carter surprised the internet with a video on his YouTube channel titled “CMR Finally Speak Out New Outlet. The video was shared on Wednesday, marking his return online after his legal troubles. Following his arrest, which was nearly two weeks ago, speculation and criticism flooded the internet.
Both CMR and his wife Julian “Chrissy” Carter have remained silent online, not addressing the allegations of CMR being arrested for molestation. CMR finally broke his silence with the video, hinting that it was possibly about his arrest.
However, the video focuses on a charging port installation for his new electric BMW SUV. Due to the misleading title, some viewers were not pleased with the video, which is believed to be prerecorded. The video, over 13 minutes long, attracted substantial attention, garnering over 47,000 views. The comments comprised mixed reactions, and CMR clapped back at the negative comments.
Some called his approach a “clickbait” tactic, accusing him of exploiting a sensitive matter to generate views and engagement. The viewer also highlighted that the thumbnail was misleading, adding that he should have avoided social media during the ongoing legal issue. While some viewers shared this sentiment, others defended CMR.
In response to the comment, CMR told the viewer to address other vloggers posting fake content and spreading lies. CMR added that vloggers were painting a bad picture of him and concluded by telling the viewer that he had spoken out, urging him to “go watch the video again.”
The controversy surrounding CMR stems from his November 2, 2024, arrest by the Apopka Police Department in Florida. The charge he faces is lewd/lascivious molestation of a minor. CMR, who was released on bail, was instructed not to return to the residence where the alleged victim lives, except briefly to retrieve his belongings with law enforcement present.
