Vendetta fans are excited following an announcement that Dancehall artiste Alkaline will return to Jamaica with his annual New Rules Festival. The thrilling news revealed that the renowned deejay is set to perform in Jamaica in the summer.
Alkaline’s New Rules Festival has only been hosted in Jamaica three times since its debut several years ago. When the event was founded in 2017, its first staging was hosted in Jamaica. The Champion Boy hosted the event in his home country again when the event returned in 2018 for its second staging.
In 2020, the New Rules Festival was scheduled to be hosted in Jamaica, but the pandemic led to it being postponed. The highly anticipated event made a grand return in 2022.
Alkaline took his signature event to the international stage, growing it into a global brand. The event has been hosted in Miami and New York, and this year, fans in Canada and England will get the chance to see the Vendetta artiste perform live. In April, it will be staged in Toronto, Canada, and London, England.
Alkaline, born Earlan Bartley, will take the stage at the OVO Arena in London, England, on April 17. This performance will mark his grand return to the United Kingdom after eight years. The show will also feature fellow dancehall Fiesta hit singer Armanii and Rajahwild, who is renowned for his song Go-Go.
After gracing the stage in London, the vendetta deejay will perform at Rebel Night Club in Toronto on June 21. It is currently unclear when he will head to Jamaica and which venue the show will be hosted on. In the past, the event was held at the National Stadium in Kingston. Additionally, it is unclear if he will be a solo act on the show or if there will be other entertainers gracing the stage.
When the popular Instagram page Main Danger shared that the artiste is set to return with his festival in the summer, fans expressed their anticipation and joy. One female was overcome with excitement and could be heard screaming in a video shared by the page. Alkaline’s event has been a grand success since its debut, garnering thousands of patrons wherever it is staged.
