Jamaican artiste Popcaan previewed a new song that seemingly focuses on fake friendships. The dancehall star gave fans a glimpse of his upcoming song and the visuals that will accompany it on Sunday. The new single is titled How You Aguh Know, which is a question Popcaan asks repeatedly in the song regarding how to tell the difference between disloyal and genuine friends.
“How you aguh know who ago switch pan you?” he asks in the lyrics. He also expresses his disdain for disloyal people who switch sides. The song also has a raw gangster vibe as he warns that he will take out anyone who tries to hurt him. In the short snippet, he calls out fake friends who can not stand to see others succeed in life.
Popcaan warns that their phoney smiles are just masks that they wear like poker faces, distracting others while they scheme and manipulate. He emphasises that they are walking around in disguise, trying to conceal their true, ugly nature.
The music video’s preview captures the song’s message, visually depicting fake friends that the deejay can be seen singing about. The song was teased on Instagram, but the release date has not yet been disclosed. Listeners on the social media platform responded positively to the track and showed their support.

In the comments of the social media post, fans also indicated that the song might perform well upon its release.
This song follows on the heels of Popcaan’s raunchy single Body Round, which he is also promoting. Body Round, released on March 28, is one for the ladies as he sings about love and lust.
The song, accompanied by provocative imagery, brags about his bedroom skills and his attraction to voluptuous women, whom he pursues with his lyrical charm. The public’s reception has been positive, and some female fans have been sharing videos of their sensational dance moves to the track.
