Dancehall artiste Silk Boss has released the music video for Mirror, capturing the deep issue of fake friends. Mirror was produced by Timeless Entertainment and Ice Queen Records. The song covers themes like trust issues and betrayal. The lyrics also encourage having faith in God while taking precautionary measures against danger, like carrying a firearm.
“Walk with faith with my Glock on me; I can’t trust friends; God is a fimi parri. Affi have faith,” Silk Boss deejays. Silk Boss, who mentions having a heart full of pain, also expresses that he is being guided by God and is unbothered by those who dislike him.
The music video is mostly captured at one location. It opens with Silk Boss driving up to a building at night. The scene changes to him inside the building, looking at his reflection in the mirror as he sings about being alone in the world.
Shortly after, other scenes show his so-called friends greeting him outside when he is exiting the vehicle. Women wearing black masks with a question mark also appear throughout the video. In the end, his friends reveal their true colours when they apparently attempt to steal the rims from his car and flee when they are caught.
The song has been receiving praise, with many fans expressing that the deejay is underrated. One fan wrote, “This dude is literally the most underrated artist when it comes to pain songs. People help push his music for 2025.”
Another fan wrote, “Believe always the most underrated artist, and he (is) one a the hardest.”
Silk Boss, born Rohan Reid, is a Jamaican dancehall sensation known for songs like Mankind, Surgery, and Sorry. The deejay is praised for creating relatable music about hardships people face in society.
