The ongoing drama between Emmy, Lando, and Phamose has sparked a new debate online: Were Emmy and Phamose ever genuinely in a long-term relationship, or is this new TikTok drama another skit?
Phamose, a popular African content creator with more than 425,000 TikTok followers, recently claimed he and Emmy dated for a decade, saying their relationship began in 2015. Emmy, who has 289,500 followers herself, did not openly deny his version. This has led many people to believe they were deeply involved. However, a closer look at the content still posted on both pages suggests their connection may have been complicated and possibly not romantic in the way viewers assumed.
What we do know is that Emmy and Phamose were extremely close, appearing together in multiple videos, including dance trends. One of those videos, still on Emmy’s page from May 27, features a heartfelt birthday message:
“Happy Birthday to the loml… We’ve been through thick and thin together… I love you so much.”

The montage includes moments of tenderness, such as Phamose kissing Emmy on the cheek, them lying in bed together, and acting affectionately. Naturally, this has fueled assumptions that they were in a committed relationship.
However, a few of Emmy’s fans left comments that seem to indicate they were only friends. A comment compared their bond to that of Priscilla Ojo and Enioluwa Adeoluwa, two Nigerian media personalities known for their extremely close but strictly platonic friendship. The comment read, “Waaah, our [Cameroonian] Priscilla and Eni … You guys will get there someday, and the whole world will also acknowledge your friendship.”
Another commenter said, “You guys’ friendship is so romantic.”

Emmy reacted positively to both comments, suggesting that she may have viewed her relationship with Phamose as a deeply affectionate friendship rather than a traditional romance.
With the drama surrounding the pair and Jamaican personality Lando, Emmy’s post has captured the attention of Jamaican users, who urged her to remove the video. According to social media, Emmy and Lando communicated online for years before meeting face-to-face in Ghana, where their chemistry instantly captivated thousands.
In a recent livestream, Emmy also hinted that things were not as smooth in Cameroon, a country in central Africa, where both Emmy and Phamose seemingly reside. She told Phamose that Cameroon did not want her, so she is going where she is wanted.”
