A family has plunged into mourning after the bodies of two twins were mysteriously found on a mountain. The discovered bodies of 19-year-old twins Qaadir Malik Lewis and Naazir Rahim Lewis have sent shockwaves through Georgia, where the brothers lived with their family. They were found at the summit of Bell Mountain in Hiawassee on March 8, and they garnered international attention.
According to reports, the brothers departed their home in Lawrenceville and were headed to Boston to visit friends. However, around 11:05 a.m. local time, hikers found the two teens and alerted the police. Preliminary reports indicate that both brothers had gunshot wounds, and their death was theorised to be a murder-suicide.
However, their family is demanding that investigators probe the case thoroughly, denying that they would do such a thing. The investigation remains ongoing as the autopsies are completed, but the findings from the forensics are still outstanding, People reported.

The family shared that the teens had booked a 7 a.m. flight to Boston the day before their bodies were discovered. The family claimed that the teens had never been to the mountain, which was approximately 90 miles from Lawrenceville. The fight tickets were found in their wallets, according to People.
The family members spoke to news outlets about the tragedy, demanding answers. “We want answers; we want to know exactly what happened to the twins,” their aunt, Samira Brawner, said. “How did they end up out in the mountains? They don’t hike out there; they’ve never been out there,” she continued. “They don’t know anything about Hiawassee, Georgia, … So how did they end up right there?”
Their uncle, Rahim Brawner, expressed that he was unable to fathom why the teens would hurt each other when they had such a strong bond. “They’re like inseparable partners. I couldn’t imagine them hurting each other; they were always so protective of one another,” he said.
Their relatives shared that the two brothers had dreams of starting a clothing line and building a bright future. The family has launched a GoFundMe campaign to cover funeral and memorial expenses. The case continues to unfold as authorities work to piece together the events.
