A man reportedly attempting to stop a robbery was gunned down. The man’s final moments were shared online, capturing the attention of thousands. The footage, posted on Worldstar HipHop on April 4, shows the man lying on the sidewalk after being shot by the alleged thief.
With his identity unknown, he has been acknowledged online only as a Good Samaritan. The video, which has since amassed more than 50,000 views, shows a sequence of events that unfolded around 12:19 a.m. earlier this year.
According to the video, the incident began when an alleged thief, riding a motorcycle during a robbery, is seen trying to escape the scene. The suspect’s motorcycle was suddenly struck by a pickup truck. The collision is believed to have been part of the driver’s plan to stop the thief. The pickup truck’s driver seemingly attempts to exit the vehicle to detain the suspect just as he is passing by. Almost immediately, the suspect withdrew a handgun and fired multiple shots in the direction of the driver.
While it is unclear how many times he was struck, the footage shows him collapsing on the sidewalk. Seconds after tumbling onto the sidewalk, he ultimately lies motionless on the ground.
