Graphic footage of a British Sikh man’s final moments after being fatally stabbed has surfaced. The 30-year-old victim, identified as Gurmuk “Gary” Singh, was attacked in East London on July 23 by multiple people.
The attack occurred at a residential area on Felbrigge Road in Ilford, where emergency services rushed to reports of a violent altercation. A bystander who came across the incident filmed three individuals, two men and a woman, at the scene.
Both men are visibly aggressive as one paces around shirtless with what appears to be a weapon, and the other continues to attack the man bleeding out on the ground. The person filming repeatedly urges the attacker to stop until police arrive on the scene.
According to the Metropolitan Police, paramedics were already attempting to treat Gary for a stab wound when officers arrived. Officials pronounced him dead at the scene.
Authorities arrested five individuals in connection with the murder, including 27-year-old Amardeep Singh on suspicion of murder. Reports say Singh is being held in police custody and scheduled to face trial at the Old Bailey in January 2026. The four others were identified as a 29-year-old man and three women aged 29, 30, and 54, who are all out on bond pending investigation.
While the number of stab wounds Gary sustained is unclear, reports confirmed that he died from a wound to his left thigh. Police have determined the attack to be an isolated incident involving individuals known to each other.
According to news reports, Gary’s family described him as a “social butterfly” and a deeply loved presence in their lives. “Nothing brought him more joy than being surrounded by family,” their statement read. “His memory will live on in our hearts forever.”
Detective Chief Inspector Joanna Yorke acknowledged the emotional toll on the local community, adding that officers will maintain a visible presence in the area as they piece together the full circumstances of the killing.
