Actress Halle Bailey now has a temporary restraining order against her ex-boyfriend DDG. The order was recently granted by a judge in Los Angeles after she made allegations that DDG, a rapper and YouTuber, has been abusing her. Bailey, who shares a one-year-old son named Halo with DDG, says she fears for her and her child’s safety due to what she describes as ongoing physical, verbal, emotional, and financial abuse.
In court documents, Bailey alleged that throughout their relationship, she endured a variety of abuse from DDG, legally named Darryl Dwayne Granberry. This has prompted her to take legal action, as she wishes to protect herself and her child from the “ongoing abuse”. She also claims that he has been violent towards her on multiple occasions after their relationship ended last year.
One of the most harrowing incidents Bailey recounts took place in January. She says DDG attacked her as she was trying to secure their son in a car seat. “The next thing I knew, things got physical between us. We fought each other, wrestling and tussling. At one point, Darryl was pulling my hair. He then slammed my face on the steering wheel, causing my tooth to get chipped.
I then stopped fighting back as I was in a lot of pain,” Bailey states. She also submitted photographs of what appear to be bruises on her arm and a chipped front tooth. She alleges that these injuries were inflicted by DDG.
Bailey also describes a March confrontation that stemmed from her not allowing DDG to take her sick son. The rapper lashed out at her and scolded her. She alleges that the dispute was caught on her Ring doorbell, which he smashed upon discovering it had recorded the altercation. Following the alleged incident, she reported the matter to the police.

Beyond the physical abuse, Bailey has asked the court to bar DDG from speaking negatively about her during his livestreams. She claims that he routinely tells his millions of followers that she is withholding their son and accuses her of seeing other men, which has led to threats and harassment directed at her online.

Under the terms of the restraining order, DDG must stay away from Bailey and their son and is prohibited from possessing any weapons. A hearing is scheduled for next month, where the judge will consider whether to extend the order for up to five years or to dismiss it altogether.
While DDG has not formally issued a public response to Bailey’s allegations, his reaction to the restraining order was caught on camera. DDG was streaming live with his friend Adin Ross when TMZ broke the news yesterday. He looked slightly puzzled as he told his team that the allegations “can’t even be real”. Adin defended DDG, denying the “fake allegations”, and described DDG as a “great person”.
