Dancehall artiste Konshens took to social media on Monday to publicly address what appears to be a dispute with popular music producer Rvssian. In a strongly worded statement, Konshens accused Rvssian of spreading misleading information about a conflict they have, which stems from their business dealings.
The “Bruk Off Yuh Back” deejay emphasised that he had always been a loyal friend to Rvssian, regardless of outside opinions. “I was always nuttn but a bredda to you no matter what nobody seh… and u know dat,” he continued. The turning point, according to Konshens, was when he realised that loyalty wasn’t being reciprocated.
“Russian, just know seh di people weh u a tell OUR business don’t like neither me nor you,” Konshens wrote, suggesting that Rvssian has been discussing their fallout with individuals outside their circle. Konshens also made it clear that the source of the issue stemmed from money owed to him, claiming that he only demanded a “small fraction” of what he was allegedly due. He claimed that Rvssian was telling people he took legal action against him and while he had threatened to do so, they had reached a settlement without ever going to court.
He went on to call out Rvssian for unfollowing him on social media, describing the move as petty and unnecessary. “U unfollow me like a gal chu u no like the idea of having to pay,” Konshens said, accusing the producer of trying to avoid accountability. “Stop tell people bout mi tek u to court because I did not!! Mi threaten you and we settled,” he clarified, insisting that the goal was to prove a point, not to profit.
He also vented about how Rvssian seemed more focused on money than on the genuine friendship they once shared. In his statement, Konshens accused RVSSIAN of using financial power to manipulate relationships and buy friends, rather than appreciating those who truly had his back.
Konshens’ post also expressed regret over how things turned out, stating that he had always tried to support RVSSIAN but now realises that money is the only thing that makes people tolerate each other in their world. He urged RVSSIAN to be honest with others if he were to speak about their situation, asking him to “tell di full story and di truth.”
As of now, RVSSIAN has not publicly responded to Konshens’ allegations.
