The dancehall scene is buzzing about a clash between entertainer Malie Donn and fellow deejay Chronic Law. It was speculated that the pair may be at odds, and Malie’s diss track, Mr Switchy Switchy, has confirmed that they are not friends.
The song is a direct lyrical assault on Chronic Law, as he calls him out for what he sees as disloyalty and posturing. In the track, Malie Donn positions himself as the opposite of Chronic Law, steadfast in loyalty to the 6ix camp.
While taking shots at Chronic Law, he also took jabs at his manager, Bashy, and his girlfriend, Wendy. While the track challenges Chronic Law’s music, it also undermines his entire image as someone who commands respect in the streets and in the industry.
The chorus of Mr Switchy Switchy leans into ridicule, questioning why Chronic Law did not act when the two allegedly crossed paths in person. This is meant to highlight that Chronic Law only talks tough but does not take action, while reinforcing the mocking “Switchy Switchy” label that anchors the track.
Malie carefully ties his insults back to loyalty, reminding listeners that his allegiance to the 6ix camp has never wavered. During the diss track, Malie also urges Chronic Law to think twice before stepping into a clash with him.

However, Chronic Law fearlessly accepted the lyrical battle with a gritty gunman song of his own, unleashing Malie Tricks shortly after Malie Donn dropped his scathing diss.
The title alone raised eyebrows. By naming the track Malie Tricks, Chronic Law not only played with Malie Donn’s current stage name but also threw shade at his past identity as “Malie 6ix”.
From the jump, Chronic Law positioned himself as the gatekeeper of the movement, reminding Malie that his association with 6ix was not earned but granted. According to Law, it was producer Attomatic who advocated for Malie’s place in the camp.
The verses grew sharper as Chronic Law went beyond group loyalty and into personal shots. He mocked Malie’s lifestyle by suggesting his wealth is borrowed, pointing out the West Bank Records chain he often sports. The tone shifted even darker when he boldly declared Malie’s lyrical career finished.
Additionally, Chronic Law ridiculed a viral moment from a recent performance where a crew member wiped Malie’s sweat, using it to question his toughness.
