A St Ann crash has claimed the life of one man and reportedly left two other people nursing injuries. The crash involved a single motor vehicle and occurred along Main Street in Ocho Rios on Friday, January 9, 2026.
Moon 10 understands that a white vehicle reportedly carrying multiple people crashed near the Hog Hole area. The impact of the collision destroyed the front of the vehicle and fatally injured a passenger sitting in the front seat, according to Caribloop.
The report also says eyewitnesses at the scene said the vehicle overturned. Footage from a nearby surveillance camera shows the vehicle speeding along the road when it slams into a wall and flips, landing in the middle of the road.
The collision quickly drew onlookers to the scene, and when emergency responders arrived, they had to flip the vehicle upright and move it to the side of the road. The injured individuals were rescued from the wreckage and transported to a hospital for medical treatment. Meanwhile, the deceased reportedly had to be cut from the wreckage and was pronounced dead on the spot.
Additional footage, taken by a passerby in oncoming traffic, shows the wrecked and bloody motor vehicle surrounded by onlookers at the side of the road. Other footage shows a man lying on the road after he was removed from the vehicle while officials worked.
Following the collision, officials remained at the scene, securing the area as they investigated the incident. The cause of the crash has not yet been identified, nor the names and genders of the victims. There have been several crashes since the year began and multiple fatalities, adding to Jamaica’s rising road crisis. The crash comes just a few days after a fiery crash in Portmore killed a woman and left multiple others injured. Last weekend, two men were killed in Trelawny after their vehicle crashed and exploded.
