In this upsetting video, a man in Brazil stabs his sleeping 4-year-old son in retaliation for his fiancée breaking up with him.
In the Calçada neighborhood of Salvador on Tuesday night (9/24), a guy whose name has not been made public stabbed his own son. Based on preliminary data, it seems that he committed the crime as a result of his inability to accept the breakup with his spouse.
The father, who had stabbed his son, also made a suicide attempt. The guy and the 4-year-old child were admitted to the Santo Antônio UPA with stab wounds on Barão de Cotegipe Street in Calçada, according to a statement from the Military Police.
The boy was brought to the State General Hospital (HGE) due to the severity of his injury; he is currently being treated as a patient and will require surgery.
The man was brought to the Hospital Irmã Dulce. His current state of health has not been disclosed. The Civil Police will look into the incident’s circumstances.
