A man in New York City was attacked by a group of men and stabbed six times. Camera footage captured the chilling incident, which has since circulated on the internet. The attack allegedly stemmed from a dispute that unfolded when the men were inside a bodega in Harlem.
This adds to a string of violent incidents involving small businesses that have been shaking the city in recent days. It is unclear what caused the Saturday morning altercation, but it quickly escalated into a deadly encounter around 5:30 a.m. The report states that after the victim was stabbed multiple times on Fredrick Douglas Boulevard at 142nd Street, he managed to run a block.
However, his critical injuries eventually caused him to collapse, per police reports. The victim, whose age was revealed to be 33, was at the 8th Avenue Food Convenience when the tragic incident unfolded.
In the footage, the victim can be seen wearing a black shirt with black and red pants. He is speaking to one male before another appears in the frame. Seconds later, a third man approaches. One of the men hit him in the head, and the other also landed a punch.
The victim attempts to defend himself, punching one of the men to the ground, but he is soon overpowered by the men. The footage ends with the three men standing over the victim on the road.
Police said a mob of up to six people were involved in the horrendous murder. When the victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, collapsed, he had made it to the corner of West 141st Street, per police sources.
Emergency responders transported him to a local hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries. Police have not yet apprehended the suspects. The string of violence in New York has led to many showing concern, especially small businesses, as many of the incidents involved small establishments.
