An Indiana teacher has been facing multiple rape and sexual assault charges after she allegedly forced at least ten minors to have sex with her. The accused, identified as 31-year-old Brittany Fortinberry, is a former math teacher at two schools in Morgan County. The court documents revealed that investigators uncovered disturbing allegations involving multiple underaged victims whom she forced to wear movie-style masks that resembled those from the Scream franchise during group sex at her home.
According to the reports, Fortinberry only engaged in sexual misconduct with minors, and then she did her very best to control them. The former teacher, who is married, engaged in masked gangbang sessions with the minors at her home. She also allegedly gave them drugs and persuaded them to send explicit photos by offering financial incentives like $100 to $800.
The photos and encrypted messages to groom her victims were reportedly sent through apps like Snapchat and Session. Investigators discovered that. The Indiana teacher allegedly also used babysitting tactics to take advantage of teenage boys. As the court document continues to detail a case of manipulation, coercion, and abuse, it also alarmingly alleges that she used threats to control her victims.
Fortinberry allegedly warned them not to tell anyone about their sexual encounter, threatening to take her life if they came forward. According to reports, some victims said they were unable to resist the abuse or remember the details after it happened because she drugged them before the assaults began. The abuse was ultimately exposed by the Department of Child Services. It was noted that many guardians were unaware of the recurring incident. An adult who allegedly had knowledge about the abuse is Fortinberry’s husband.
Fortinberry’s husband allegedly threatened to “slaughter” one of the teenage victims if he reported the abuse, according to court documents. He has been implicated in the investigation, but it is unclear if he was directly involved in the abuse. Fortinberry Is facing charges such as molestation of a minor, sexual misconduct, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Given the severity of the case, her bond has been raised from $20,000 to $150,000.
Meanwhile, her husband has filed for divorce, marking a stark departure from his alleged earlier threats of violence in defence of his wife. Fortinberry’s husband, whom she has been married to since 2020, filed for divorce shortly after the investigation launched, TMZ reported. The pair have a 4-year-old child, and he is seeking custody of the child and temporary possession of their family home.
