Dancehall artiste Mavado is in deep mourning after his older brother passed away. The Jamaican artiste shared a heartfelt message on Instagram Monday morning, expressing his sorrow and disbelief that Clinton, widely known as Bang, died.
He posted a moving tribute, including a video that documented his brother’s change in appearance. The video features a split-screen effect, showing images of Clinton alongside a video of him. The video’s content reveals significant changes, like Clinton’s noticeable weight and hair loss. The video also featured the heartwarming words “Gone But Not Forgotten.”
He captioned the social media post with his feelings of disbelief, saying, “Jah know big brother, I still can’t believe.”
The reason for his brother’s passing was not shared in the post, which received many heartfelt condolences from fans and members of the entertainment industry. His former mentor Bounty Killer was among the artists who shared their support, saying, “Condolences, son.”

Adding to his troubles, Mavado is currently dealing with a legal dispute with law enforcement in Jamaica. His legal issues stem from an outstanding 2018 arrest for assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
The authorities recently revealed that the warrant is still valid after the deejay announced that he would sue the government, arguing that his son’s imprisonment was a grave error. His son, Dante Brooks, served seven years in prison before his 2021 murder conviction was overturned by Jamaica’s Court of Appeal.
Mavado had angrily stated, “There is a fire raging within me at the injustice – or, as the appeal judges put it, SUBSTANTIAL MISCARRIAGE OF JUSTICE – that has taken place… We will be pursuing full legal action against ALL parties involved in this cruel act of injustice and will not stop fighting until real justice is served upon those who perpetrated this awful, unlawful and unwarranted action against my son and his co-accused Andre Hinds.”
Not long after the post was made, the authorities confirmed the warrant’s active status, sparking speculations that law enforcement may be targeting him because he lashed out.
