Jamaican entertainer MC Nuffy clapped back at the naysayers after being mocked and criticised for his performance at Vybz Kartel’s Tortola show. In response to the online claims that his animated performance was an annoying distraction that overshadowed Vybz Kartel’s performance, he said that the attendees did not share this sentiment.
In a video, he reiterated Skatta Burrell’s claims that the audience enjoyed the show and his energy contributed to them having a wonderful time. While he was on stage, the massive audience was filled with excitement, according to Nuffy.
He described the naysayers, especially the vloggers, as “hungry and badmind” for talking bad about his performance. He also mentioned the so-called Gaza fans, who genuinely disliked him but pretended to be friendly because Vybz Kartel supported him.
MC Nuffy went on to say that all the hate he has been receiving is predominantly from Jamaicans, who should have been his biggest supporters, while international fans have applauded him in his DM for his energising performance. Along with fans, he said he received several thumbs up from colleagues in the entertainment industry.
“Some people weh she dem a gaza, some a unuh weh a big chatty mouth bwoy…unuh a nuh Gaza,” he said, seemingly responding to the criticisms he received from dancehall veteran Mr. Vegas and popular selector Foota Hype.
He indicated that he would have been open to constructive criticism over disrespectful remarks about his performance. “Bad mind unuh bad mind…Unuh nuh wah mi get mi likkle pay fi fee mi youth dem.”
Additionally, he said many are hoping for Vybz Kartel’s downfall, but they would not see it happen. In response to his video, many social media users insist that he needed to tone it down onstage.
One viewer said, “Badman yuh Mek too much noise we couldn’t even hear the performance. . Once yuh introduce the artist dem roll out off the stage boss .. yaw artist ?”
Another viewer commented, “U took away from the performance….look who fah name inna ppl mouth ….yuh shudda come dung fi true.”
