The online back-and-forth between new TikToker Jakes and his former common-law partner, Rosealee, appears to be getting messier. After months of a one-sided stream of accusations from Rosealee, Jakes, usually the quieter one, has finally snapped and issued a heated warning aimed directly at her.
Following their breakup, Rosealee had been the dominant voice, calling Jakes an abuser, a liar, and a cheater, and accusing him of presenting a fake calm personality online just to sway public sympathy and earn from TikTok. She went after him repeatedly, dragging in his family and even their two children as she aired her frustrations. Jakes rarely responded, which only pushed her to label him a pretender for the camera.
That long-standing silence, however, ended abruptly during a recent livestream, in which Jakes told her to be ready for his return to the island. He disrespected her, calling her names such as a “fool” and a “big dunce head gyal.”
He insisted she should have her money ready and even advised her to start using up her money before he comes back. While he did not specify if he plans to file a lawsuit, send a cease-and-desist, or take some other route, he made it clear that he is planning to take action. He also refused to continue with the online arguments and believes she has been saying things about him way too long now.
In response to the live stream, some TikTok viewers felt Jakes had reached his breaking point and had been trying hard not to disrespect her. Others questioned why he was “threatening the lady,” while many blamed Rosealee for refusing to let go of the relationship she claimed she did not want. A few commenters predicted a defamation case, while others encouraged him to “move in silence” and stop responding altogether.
Alongside the comments of his supporters strongly defending him, critics also accused him of hypocrisy and warned him that “CDA is watching” and that any threats could come back to haunt him.
