The Jamaican social media community is reeling from the news of the passing of Neisha, a beloved TikTok personality. Neisha is known for her warm cooking sessions and light-hearted interactions alongside her partner, Owie.
According to social media, followers noticed worrying changes in Neisha’s health after she had her baby. She appeared weaker on camera and spoke less. Some TikTokers described her condition as deteriorating, leading to a prolonged hospital stay.
During her hospitalisation, she became the subject of online speculation and heated debate. Social media users flooded online platforms with messages of prayer and encouragement. Her stay has reportedly stirred tension between her family and her partner, Owie.
He allegedly went live to request donations for adult nappies, a move said to have upset Neisha. Rumours have since surfaced that Owie has been barred from visiting her, with some family members allegedly blaming him for her condition. However, these claims remain unverified. Additional speculation has also emerged about her being placed in a mental health ward.
Her prolonged hospital stay became a point of public conversation, with speculation ranging from postpartum complications to spiritual or personal conflicts. Some online users speculated that her condition was caused by spiritual forces and that a relative was responsible for it. When criticism also came at Owie, others defended him, insisting he did his best under difficult circumstances.
In her final days, she was reportedly weak, speaking unclearly, and, as some described, in a near-unresponsive state. The exact medical details remain unclear. Social media users claim that she has been hospitalised for months with an undiagnosed condition.
When news of her death broke, hundreds of comments poured in, some expressing disbelief, others anger, and many sharing grief. One supporter wrote, “No one fought for her… Too many voices got involved, and the people who should have stood by her left her to fight alone.”
