Reality television personality Diamond Tankard, known for her role on Bravo’s Blood Is Thicker Than Water, was arrested for reportedly beating a woman with a sock full of rocks in Walmart and stealing from the victim.
The alleged attack in Nashville was captured in a circulating video. Reports citing court records that detail the circumstances surrounding the footage say that the victim told Metro Nashville Police Department officers that Tankard physically assaulted her at self-checkout.
Tankard allegedly snatched the victim’s hair, initiating a physical altercation. The victim was at the store with her grandmother, who witnessed the incident and informed police about the rocks. Police later saw surveillance footage inside the store showing the incident. In the viral video, staff and others intervene, attempting to separate the two women while Tankard repeatedly swings the sock at the victim and punches her.
The security footage also shows Tankard fleeing the scene after reportedly grabbing a Louis Vuitton bag and an iPhone 14, both belonging to the victim. According to the victim, her missing phone costs $1,500, and her bag is worth $900, leading to Tankard being charged with theft of over $1,000 on July 18. The affidavit said that the victim had to get stitches for a laceration she sustained above her left eye during the alleged assault. This led to additional charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
The 21-year-old accused was released on a $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on August 22.
The incident comes months after a separate legal matter involving Tankard. In December 2024, she faced charges, including attempted felony murder and failure to report a crime, after allegedly striking a woman with her vehicle during a separate incident.
Tankard became a reality TV star through her family’s reality series, which followed the lives of gospel jazz artist Ben Tankard and his blended family and ended in 2016 after three seasons.
