The long-anticipated arrival of Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skin in Jamaica is finally here. Jamaicans have eagerly awaited the arrival of Rihanna’s makeup and skincare lines, especially since the brand expanded across several Caribbean countries last year.
The internationally acclaimed beauty products will finally be available in Jamaica in April. Fenty Beauty revealed the launch on their Instagram page on Monday, and fans are thrilled. “We heard you, fam! @BadGalRiri is bringing’ Fenty Beauty + Fenty Skin to Jamaica!” The post said.
The launch will be on April 10, allowing Jamaicans to purchase the Fenty products exclusively at the Fontana Pharmacy located in Waterloo Square, Kingston. On April 12, Fontana Pharmacy’s Fairview branch in St. James will start stocking the products so more people can get their hands on the popular beauty products.
The post sparked excitement among fans, who were previously irate that Jamaica was not a part of the brand’s initial expansion list. Rihanna had previously addressed concerns about Jamaica’s absence, assuring fans that the island had not been forgotten.
She shared her enthusiasm last year about launching her products in the Caribbean and told Jamaicans they would not have to wait much longer. “Coming home is always a pleasure, and coming home for something like this is monumental. And guess what? We’re about to tear the rest of the Caribbean up. Everybody is waiting. Jamaica, I’m so sorry I’m not there yet, but I’m coming your way, and you’re going to have something special too, she said.
The brand’s initial expansion list was revealed last October. The Barbadian superstar announced that Fenty Beauty would be available in Barbados, Antigua, the Bahamas, Aruba, Bermuda, the Cayman Islands, Trinidad and Tobago, Grenada, and St Maarten. Jamaica’s omission sparked online debates, with fans expressing frustration over being excluded.
Since its launch in 2017, Fenty Beauty has been globally known for its wide range of shades for all skin tones. The brand has grown into a major player in the beauty industry. It now offers skincare and haircare alongside its popular makeup line.
